SA80 Magazine

#1
Hi i have been tasked with completing an assignment on the SA80 magazine, the topic covers its function, what mechanical / Physical / Chemical properties it has, its material and ways that it fails etc. Obviously i will be checking out the AESP`s and other appropriate publications, however with the vast amount of knowledge on these forums i thought i would give it a go,and see if anyone has any good ideas of where else i can source this information.

Thanks BULLY

Back in 87 when 1 Queens were SRB in XMG they had the colt mags which we always recognised as very tired and underperforming, the RG ones we had by comparisom were far superior and it took some watching to keep the tea leafing gippo mockney barsestewards from blagging/redistributing our wealth!

They've flogged loads to the US Military. No surprises that the advert on their US website makes no mention that it was developed for the SA80A2 programme, even though the URL clearly says 'sa80mag'. There's also a little bit on the specs and standards for you Bully. Link here.

FFS, Bully! You're on a tiffy course. Make sh*t up; it's only Materials. Do as I and Maj Boothroyd did and invent a load of absolute bollokcs . Make sure you get a line in about the structural strength of whatever metal you decide the mags's made of being exactly the same as a 9th century Chinese wok ( it's the sort of thing the lecturer will believe, thinking you wouldn't have the balls to make it up, and once he believes one thing the rest is swallowed so much more easily). The main thing is to do this with confidence and a straight face. Then repair to the Mess for tea and medals.
And don't play Dungeons and Dragons like some spotty no-mates, get yourself a knife collection and some devo porn like a real armourer.
