  1. The pic what surprised me than anything was photo number 11, cant believe tail gunners are still used in 2011

  2. Are these stills from Red Dawn? Was looking for Patrick Swayze!
  3. Russian mentality mate. All former soviet transports were built with WW3 in mind, hence the tail gunner posit in the IL76. Of course its just us still fighting the cold war............
  4. I suppose it depends on the field of fire. Given that one of its main roles is airlanding, being able to deliver suppressive fire should the unexpected happen during deplaning might just about be worth it.
  5. Yeah, I imagine it would be more of a ground defense than anti-fighter measure.
