Yeah I like the Sustrans routes in the UK. They’re well signposted with blue signs that I never noticed before I got a bike. Lots of disused railways are utilised which means that humble old push bikes are using fantastic Victorian infrastructure which would cost billions if it was built today- and it certainly wouldn’t be built for cycling leisure trails. These are couple of bits (not my vid or pics) of the Devon Coast To Coast (Ilfracombe-Plymouth) which I did a couple of years ago.My other half won't run because of knee problems, but cycling is something we can do together and again, starting out in our sixties. Cycling Berlin to Copenhagen in summer, another eye opener, there are so many cool long distance cycle routes in Europe! So many things you can do with a bit more time available, now both of us working part time. Getting old does have advantages.
Meldon Viaduct in its heyday and today.
