  1. Tried using the search funtion on this but my internets playing up so im on me phone and its not working. Anyway ive seen this written before people always say its a bad idea because its a quick way to get injured but surely there must be a safe way of doing it.
Firstly if i do put weights in a rucksack i wont be running on concrete ill be taking it easy on hills on a offroad trail, with that in mind whats a good weight to start with?
    Thanks alot
  2. Two dwarves and a pig.
  3. Not much. Don't try and imitate that nutter on the JU forum a month or two back who claimed to be running up hills at 7kph with 50kg of railway sleepers on his back.

If you have to, get some decent footwear and start small. Try tabbing before jogging to strengthen the muscles required. Expect to get knackered quickly; carrying anything on your back is tiring if you're not used to it.

If you develop an injury or experience significant pain, pack it in sharpish. Don't risk a serious injury.
