No doubt about it, AWJ can whine with the best of them. Every country has at least one. Biggar is worse for whining tbf, so maybe AWJ is not quite in the top rank.
But that’s not what Eddie is on about here. He is concerned that nasty AWJ says things to his delicate little England players that make them totally lose control and either get carded, or have to get hooked early to avoid getting carded (Mr Sinckler being a case in point).
Eddie shouldn’t be moaning to the press about this, he should be sorting his ill disciplined players out and making them exercise a bit of self discipline. Opposition players do say things to wind each other up, at every level of the game. It’s not illegal either. If Sinckler and co, as experienced internationals, haven’t twigged that yet and learned how to deal with it then maybe Eddie should be looking to select some other players who are a bit more robust.
Meanwhile I haven’t heard him suggesting that the ref should be watching out for any of his players tickling AWJ’s bollocks. But maybe there’s nothing wrong with that in Eddie’s book.
It’s just Eddie being a cock pre-match as per usual.
