Ah okey thanks . Lol he want to say that we have old equipment . It is not completely false but not completely true , we are in evolution . For the threat that we have to face , I think that we have a respectable army .
No , since recent years , we diversified the trainings of our officers . They have training based on their position in the army. For example, the Navy, they have French / European training, because most of our boats are either french (FREEM) or from European countries (SIGMA ---> Holland / Spain ...).The air force is France (MF-2000; Alphajets) / USA (F-16, F-5) training.
And the Army, I would say that it is mainly French, but also USA / Russia training .
In addition, the Moroccan army has always had several types of material from different countries, a real "casse tete " :
MBT : T72 , VT1A/mbt 2000 (chinese) , M1a1(200 ordered) , M60A3TTS Artillery : All the M 109 family , and recently we ordered Russian MSTA-S / AMX-F3 ; FH-70 ; L-118 ; M-46 ; M-101 ; M-109 ; M-110 ; M-114 ; M-198 ; BM-21 ; AR-2 / PHL-03 ATGM : Euromissile HOT ; BGM-71 TOW ; APILAS ; MILAN ; Metis-M ; Kornet ; Konkurs ; AT-3 Sagger ; HJ-8L , Aircraft defence : Chaparal, Tunguska , Shilka, Mim-23 Hawk APC's : M-113A1/A2 ; VAB VTT/VCI ; Ratel-60/90 ; AIFV-B-50/B-C25
.... and it's like this (Aircraft , warships... ) in all the field of the Moroccan army , always USA, France,Russia and China and also Belgium, Austria, Spain...
So the type of training are various and from various countries .
And we also do exercises with the British Army "Jebel Sahara" and with the Royal Gibraltar Regiment .
Jebel Sahara 2012 :
Moroccans fly to Gibraltar for exercise
Fifteen members of Morocco’s 2ieme Brigade d’Infanterie Parachutiste are in Gibraltar for a few days of training before they join the Royal Gibraltar Regiment on Exercise Jebel Tarik. The exercise will be held in Brecon, in South Wales and will last for three weeks.
The two sister units have worked together on various exercises for the last eight years.
The soldiers arrived at RAF Gibraltar on their own C130 aircraft.
