Royal Marines Seize Tanker

Anyone blamed Brexit yet? Using Royal Marines to "capture" our oil/fuel imports

The Iranian armed forces have now said it is Tehran’s “duty” to reciprocate by capturing a British tanker if theirs isn’t released immediately.
I hope we are able to react rather more robustly than the last time these idiots were chucking their weight around. God forbid these people ever get their hands on nukes.

Imagine the extra problems that would have been caused if helicopters had to be flown out.
Or they could of done it without helicopters or for that matter Marines, it just gets clumsier, slower and harder to do but 42 Cdo do train to board from boats. Royal Marines Storm Passenger Ferry During 'Vital' Training

42 Commando's role
42 Commando deliver a combination of capabilities including: high threat capacity-building and training of overseas partnered forces; Ships Force Protection Teams; training to indigenous forces; maritime interdiction and boarding operations; UK resilience and support to the Queen Elizabeth Class Carriers.

Based in Bickleigh, just outside of Plymouth, 42 Commando is made up of specialist teams ready to deploy around the world to deliver Maritime Security, Support and Training to foreign nations and specialist amphibious support across Defence.

Sadly it all changed 25 years too late for me. I would have loved to have done this stuff when I was there. But 42 was just a standard Commando unit.

I did offer it as an option for boosting our maritime abilities, letters of Marque and good old fashioned privateering. Be easy, get on amazon, order most expensive items wait for ship to approach from China and storm the vessel. Sell goods and claim on the insurance.
Blame it all on the Bournemouth Triangle!

LR's been having a thunk, it happens when these things crop up. Nothing is as it seems, except there's some Marines on tanker off Gib.

Interesting, as MSM are circulating that very intention.

Either release the Tanker or a British vessel will be targetted.

(tin foil hat on)
Possible solution, return Panama Flagged Iran tanker empty complete with tactically delayed engineer & electronic failing mods and allow them to crack on, reduces the international diplomatic tensions abeit with a strong BFO warning.

Cracking bunch of lads, worked with 42 in South Armagh in the mid 90s.

Is a Troop of Bootnecks able to provide its own boats or did someone else, such as the RNGS?

It seems you are right. So did the Wildcat self deploy, get flown there by the RAF, or come from a nearby warship/RFA?

All this is bread and butter stuff to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. Day in, day out, all over the World.
According to this

https://flight-data.adsbexchange.com/map?icao=43C6E5&date=2019-06-28

Wildcat AH1 ZZ381 appeared to join a vessel off Portland last Friday (28 June).

This Wildcat was then recorded active in the Gibraltar area on Monday the first of July.

In a really weird coincidence I went to the GTZX (BP Tanker collective callsign website) this morning and found a 3 year old message from someone I sailed with on the Progress. Sent an sms to the number in the msg and got an immediate reply. The last time I saw him was 1976.

Apparently it's owned by the Russian Titan Shipping Company of Abu Dhabi...

I wonder what the position of Tehran's paid agent in Islington is to all of this?.

Step forward, Comrade Corbyn.

The Bournemouth Triangle, isn't that where Hamworthy's bootnecks go clubbing

It's got the Assad apologists and the Spanish stamping their feet with their bottom lip out. Tehran shouting nonsense.

Back home in time for medals and Love Island too and not a Spanish beach invaded. Good drills gentlemen.

So a possible Russian-Iran business backed partnership to flout sanctions unless challenged?
