OK it's probably not of particular interest to those that have served in Afghanistan (I hasten to add I'm not one of them), but is it really so bad that the MOD are publicising what's currently going on out there. It's probably not going to make the evening news but anything that might just break through the public perception that it's a load of blokes wandering around and occasionally getting blown up can only be a good thing surely?

I'm more concerned that a major doesn't know the difference between combat engineers and C-IED.

You shouldn't be so concerned mate.

Outside of the trades and hat colours, nobody really gives a ****, so long as they're staying safe.
