Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Have a look at the video report on this Sky News page LINK

Talk about thinking outside the box!

  2. And why not eh!
Could just picture the faces back in the UK when the Marines put a indent in for 3 boats to land locked Afganistan
  3. Or the Taliban faces when a boatload of Royal armed to the teeth arrive in their admin area, having crossed over the dam by boat in the wee small hours!

Edited: owing to a surprise visit from the Emperor Mong!
  4. At least they wont be able to surrender to Iran there!
  5. Ouch!
  6. Good old Royal, always trying to find a justufucation for keeping their amphibious tag.
  7. Royal Marines call it an 'Amphibious action', the army just calls it 'a river crossing'
  8. I didn't look at the link, but I assume the action takes place at the Kabul Hilton swimming pool.
  9. You don't consider amphibious operations a core skill for the services then? Cast your mind back to the assault on the Al Faw pennisula...
  10. 'tis a core skill as you say. Everyone should have done the basics. Even I managed that as a cold war STAB!
