Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Found these clips on YouTube which are excerpts from the Regimental Band, Bugles, Pipes and Drums of The Royal Irish Regiment Final Concert performed in the Ulster Hall, Belfast in May 2007.

This Band will disband in Sept 07 so enjoy...

  2. 1st Bn ROYAL IRISH RANGERS 1976--1986

    many fond memories..
if one of us get in touch..
  3. From the grapevine, (I don't work in Whitehall so treat it with a pinch of salt) the GS band will disband on 31 Oct 07 (allegedly) and the North Irish TA band will ditch their current garb and re-badge Royal Irish once they've gone. Contrary to what's being reported and advertised in province, the TA are not gaining 35 bods on 01 Nov 07.

Edit - this was the last performance at The Ulster Hall - apparently it's now shut for refurbishment. The last, final, final, ever performance might be the Festival of Remembrance. Apparently.
