Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Link to video
A few problems with this at first glance- obviously issues with power supply, and the bit about the arm floating up if you let it go could make you a bit of a bullet magnet, but imagine how easy a CFT would be :D

  2. Fcuking Hell - it's IRON MAN! :D

  3. Looks a bit like those Powerloaders off that Aliens film.
Thats goin on my Xmas wishlist :D

  4. What's the chances of Broon/MOD shelling out for something like that?

I reckon slim and none. And slim is out of town...

  5. Read Robert Heinlein's 'Starship Troopers', first published in 1959; he had the whole idea nailed down, even then.

  6. Was thinking the same thing, though i cant see squaddies taking to being called Apes, dont want to get confused with those RAF SAS folks now. Also cant see whitehall letting said squaddies loose with shoulder mounted nuke launchers, think of the risk assesment pre-exercise!

  7. Mmmmm...... errrr..... hmmmm....? What happens when he falls into sink hole filled to the brim with mud soup? And what if he forgets he's wearing it and reaches for his sock?!!

Fcuk it... don't care, paint it blue and i'll take two!! ;)

  8. Would be very good for EOD use, however the short cables and the scientist following on behind would be a bit of a limitation.

  9. errm, hang on though, what happens when it gets wet/ blows a fuse or otherwise goes tits up? would you want to be wearing it when it goes into mong strength mode and moves about so fast it rips your arms and legs off? wot, me, cynical?

  10. exoskeleton + viagra?

I can't be the only one thinking this.
