  3. just returned from the annual hols in north cornwall,local paper was chocka with good work by local crews and seasonal beach staff.

  6. Yep utter nails. I remember listening to the radio recording of the Pendeen lifeboat when they had rescued half the crew and were going back for more. The skipper was so calm he sounded like he was ordering a pint in his local. The entire crew and the rescued passengers all died. For those in peril on the sea. Very brave men and women all of them.

  7. I agree with your sentiments but I think you will find it was the Penlee lifeboat. Pendeen is on the North Cornish coast.
