RMAS Recruitment & Regiment Questions

Hi, if anyone would be able to assist me with these questions regarding RMAS it'd be greatly appreciated.
  1. Since I have lived in Malta since birth, would I still be able to apply when I move to the UK? I hold a British passport (British Citizen).
  2. When I graduate university this April with BSc. (Hons) Information Technology, will this make me applicable for PQO or would I still fall under AADEO (thus requiring the full training length)?
  3. At what point during selection/training do you select a regiment/s which you are interested in joining for your commission and how many regiments are you to select interest in?
Cheers :)

I had found that but wasn’t certain because I had seen mention of IT somewhere else, thanks for the heads up.

Don't be too discouraged by that response - the recruiting literature often lags behind the reality.

The PQO material shown above primarily relates to the Medical roles available in the Army.

The MoD has been making a lot of noise about cyber- warfare in the last few years.

Are you a member of your University OTC?

I wasn't really, I figured I'd get some sort of criticism here regardless considering I'm new and uninformed. Regarding Uni OTC though, I'm not sadly as I'm studying in Malta. I wasn't particularly looking into cyber roles within the army though so not too bummed about that. Thanks for the input, appreciated.

1) If your name is A. Burlo or similar I'd change your username
2) Its unlikely IT will qualify as PQO unless a cyber specialisation and they are generally reservist posts
3) no worries on asking Questions, the only stupid one is one you want to ask and don't
4) I'm a part-timer, but I'd strongly recommend the online chat function on the Army website for specific Questions

Will get on it, figured it might not have been the most wise decision but didn't think much of the username. Not too worried about any cyber roles like I said before but good to know regardless. Anything that's (too) specific I'll target the Army chat on their site. Thanks again and definitely appreciated!
