The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
A Royal Marine has been killed in Kajaki.
Just saw it on BBC News.
Condolances to Family and Friends.
"He is the 13th Royal Marine killed in Afghanistan in the last two months"
Have the Taliban increased their number/activity recently??
or is this the 'norm' for this unit to suffer so many losses in so little time??
Firstly - Rest In Peace - thoughts with family and friends
to answer your question - although he is the 13th RM to die in Afghan and that does sound high for s single unit, which it is, it is the RM supplying three Bn's 40/42/45 Commando to the theatre - if that puts it in perspective for you?
There has also just been a big op going on.
Rest In Peace.
