Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

I know there are thousands of applications to do this, but what do you recommend?

  2. small convenient one i use is DVDShrink. link upcoming

will sort out most encryptions and emulations, so it's all told not a bad call at all.
  3. dvdshrink is v good but requires nero to burn from within the program... nero has some reported problems, especially on installation for some.

but the results are outstanding and it's easy to use.
  4. got nero 7 Premium CR? PM me if you want it, i've been using it for ages and had no problems
  5. Handbrake for Mac is fucking brilliant for converting. Most DVD's end up being around 700mb in size and it is almost impossible to tell the difference.

A version for windows is currently being worked on but it's well worth the wait IMO.
  6. so it compresses it to .AVI/.MPEG or equivalent? not sure i'd want that straight from disc due to menus, etc.
  7. Yes, but to be honest, how often do you look at the additonal menu's??
  8. Check out I use their stuff for making disc image files, copying DVDs and ripping DVDs down and onto my iPod. Can also recommend DVD Region + CSS Free from for removing disc protection.
