    I'm getting old. RIP.
  3. I knew Willy in the early 80s (just pre-Falklands) when I was based in Colchester. Can't remember if he was with the Gunner Regiment there at the time (40 or 47?) or if he was just chasing after one of the girls in the Mess I lived in and therefore a frequent Colchester visitor. In either event he was a larger than life character, and a popular and respected one. I'm very sorry to hear of his death, which is premature by many years.

    Slange, Willy.
  4. R.I.P. sir.
  5. A good hand. Rest in peace indeed. Colonel.

  9. RIP old friend.
  10. The man was a legend.

Rumor is that it will be in North East. Probably 101 Regt doing the honours or poss 29.

Top bloke. I shared an office with him at HQ LONDIST. He was terribly irreverent, and had a lot of good gunner dits!
  11. RIP

Gosh, thats tragic, I had no idea. First knew him circa Falklands era. How cruel is the passing of time.
  12. Very sad to hear this. Legend! RIP
