  1. My apologies if this is in the wrong place.

In the early hours of Sunday morning (4th April) Christopher O'Kane, a VM serving with 17 Port and Maritime regt RLC fell from a Rickshaw in the Lothian Road area of Edinburgh. He suffered serious head injuries and died as a result of them yesterday (5th April) just days after his 26th birthday.

I only had the pleasure of working with Spud briefly in the Guardroom and more recently on exercise overseas, I know he will be greatly missed both in the LAD and the Gym where he was preparing to undertake his PTI course.

O God of power and might, whose all-pervading energy is
the strength of nature and man, inspire, we pray Thee, us
Thy servants of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical
Engineers with the quickening spirit of goodwill, that as
honest craftsmen, seeking only the good of all in peace or
war, we may glorify Thee both in the work of our hands
and in the example of our fellowship, through Jesus Christ
    our Lord.

    RIP Mate.
