I'll be there, the one with the rifle and the shiny boots, should be easy to spot.

Poppy Scotland - for a good viewing point, head to Bank tube. Show starts at Mansion house at 11 so you may be hard pressed to find a pub before then. Plenty of drinking holes round Bank/Mansion House during lunch break, then whole lot starts return trip from Embankment at 1300.

Enjoy it and here's to decent weather.

If you fancy a cheap pint in a bloody nice pub check out 'chandos' on william iv street near trafalgar square. Its a Samuel Smiths jobby, £2.10-£2.50 a pint.

edited for writing boody instead of bloody

It's available for viewing on BBC iPlayer: Lord Mayor's Show.

Edited to add: Fast forward to 52 minutes to see the TA. Whoever was driving the Rifles' display wagon needs a lesson in braking gently!

Grief, there were some pretty poor units. The crabs were, for once, quite good and in step (unusual) and the Chesham All Girls Band were cute; almost as good as the pipe bands, but dear oh dear, the f***ing Navy AGAIN, wot a shower. Some of the TA units at the front were of a reasonable standard but some, well, drill seems a swear word. The word HALT seems non-existant, it is almost 'stop while marching'

Last couple of years have seen some good honour guards and this year's were good.

Overall, a good parade (shame about the weather) but there needs to be some serious drill practice by some units. who were the c**ts who kept the cadets of all services, out in the rain on the Embankment, in woolly pullies ?
