RFA 1996

Hi GUys,
i've been offered a new job, but am due to be mobilised in november.
If i take the job, given notice at my current place of employment of 4 weeks, i will have been in the new place for effectively 2 weeks before i'm mobililsed, are they liable to hold my job for me under the RFA 1996?

Nope, as you will of only worked there for approx 2 WEEKS! as you will only completed 2 weeks of your PROBATIONARY period and not even settled in to your new job.

Nope, they are not. I'm astonished that they offered you a job in the circumstances - you did tell them about the mobilisation, I take it?

i'll probably lose my current job too, as part of a redundancy package (well they cant sack me for being in the TA, but they can find other ways of getting rid...)
oh well, deal with it when it happens i suppose.....

i didnt know at the time of interview, i'll have a chat with them today.
