Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

    Midlands Today video story

Last night on Midlands Today a story was broadcast hoping to reunite the family descendants with 2 WWI war medals that have been found.

The Medals belonged to 5483 Pte Joseph G Davies of the 10th Btn Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

The medals that the police have are the British War Medal and the Victory Medal however Pte Davies was also entitled to the 1914 / 1915 Star.

The RWR museum has been contacted and whilst service records are known they are unable to find any family members.

Anybody who has any information with regards to the descendants of Pte Joseph Davies should contact Sgt S Rice with the West Midlands Police.

Lets hope that the power of ARRSE can help have these medals returned to their rightful place.
