Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I signed a 24 months 'training return of service', am i right in thinking that i can sign off on the 12 month point and finish the last 12 months as my notice to leave? or have I got to do 24 months RoS before i can sign off?

  2. How about you serve the Army that pays your wages rather than being a waste of a job that someone more deserving could do.

  3. adamsouth,
you are right, the Army will get the 24 months service they require from you.

  4. Cheers, not thinking about signing off but just wanted to understand what i signed. Different lads i spoke to all had different answers!

  5. How long ago did you sign the ROS??

  6. Do you normally sign things you dont understand?..Did you rejoin the regular army after previously serving?..The DS answer is to check on JPA or contact Glasgow to confirm your commited service time.
Dont ask your mates, they might have a different service type to you.

  7. I don't think I signed one paper from the Army that I understood yet. Maybe one day I will lol
