Resettlement claims

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Had a bit of trouble last week with JPA and my resettlement claims. I'm due out on Saturday but still have claims to put in for resettlement that doesn't finish until the week after I get out. Is there going to be any problem claiming after my last day?

  2. When you say you are out on Saturday, do you mean (a) you are going on annual leave or (b) you are starting terminal leave or (c) you will be discharged?

    (a) You can still put in claims. Just go to the local recruiting office or TA centre and use their self-service terminals.

    (b) You need to telephone your unit fast so that you can still put in claims. Action is as above.

    (c) You've dipped. Your pay account closes (aka P45) and you can't make any claims. If that's what's happening, telephone your RAO very fast and do exactly what he or she tells you to do.
  3. My last day is Saturday. That's it, I'm a Mr.

If the problem on JPA has been sorted and I get my claims in this week, will I be safe or do they actually need to be authorised before my last day?

Thanks for the information and advice!!!
