Also just in - The Navy like wearing shorts.
It's actually quite interesting. Because the TA seem to bounce somewhat randomly between units/tours, they're potentially bringing experience to the battalion that would otherwise be missing.
Expect more of this sort of Non-story press release as the head shed try and cosy up to johnny STAB.
More and more of Johnny joining every day....... and more advertising going out tonight.
Reminds me a bit of Starship Troopers and "I'm doing my part"
I'm Doing My Part - YouTube
(Not knocking the lads out there, just the government spin machine that always manages to sound a but clunky)

As opposed to professional regular army twat?
Is it April Fools day already ?
You "WILL BLEED ON THE FLAG TO KEEP THE RED IN THE CROSS OF ST GEORGE"? Please do, and don't stop.
I thought it was decent article as well, and you're right, I knew guys on their second and third tours joining battalions who had yet to do one. I think the regular army should look at doing more of this, encourage regular soldiers with experience to volunteer to deploy with other battalions. It can be a sharp learning curve to a new-in-theatre infantryman, reg or TA.
