hello guys looking for some advice to get my run time down, am 37 6ft4 and 17stone9, but I'm not fat I'm fairly lean due to 10 years of weight training and a strict diet, I've not run since school so my cv is not the best, and did my first run last night at 12.25 mins but this was on a running machine, I do plan on running out on the roads, I've only just applied, do you think I can get my run time down just by working at it or do I need to drop some muscle mass and get my weight down.

I would like to do the run in under 10mins

any advice or feedback would be appreciated please guys
