Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I am with the Royal British Legion and we are holding a Veterans Memorial Parade to remember those that died from 1947 to 2008. At this parade the names will be called out including two men from the Corps of Signals.
Has any member got a photo of a Royal Signals cap badge circa 1951/52 that I would be able to use in a Memorial book (non profit making)?

  2. Sorry I can't help you, Kevin, but 1951 was a bit before my time. Your best bet would probably be the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford. Try here - contact details are at the bottom of the page.

    Best wishes

  3. Kevin,

    Edited to add

    Many thanks for the response.
The cap badge was much appreciated.
The two soldiers concerned are 22068615 L/Cpl Leaton killed 19/10/1951 in Egypt and 2549556 Signalman Smith killed 28/01/1952 in Korea
    Many thanks for your help
