Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I'm hoping someone can help me out with this one. Does anybody know if there is a REME corps grace, for dinner nights.

We're having one tomorrow, and I can't find reference to one.

  2. All I can suggest is try to contact the Padre at Arborfield or the Corps Museum.

    REME Museum
  3. I don't think there is one?
  4. Thanks, I'll give them a try. The closest I've got so far is the REME Collect, but it's a bit long winded.
  5. Try:

"For the food and drink we are about to receive and the skill of those that prepare and serve it, May the Lord make us truly grateful. Amen."
But this may just be RLC??!!

    RE Corps Grace is:

"Lord God, we thank you for this food and your provision for us everywhere - Amen"

Or others like these:- 'Arrse Gracers'

PS. A bottle of Port aint that expensive
  6. If it ain't broke don't eat it???
  7. Many a time, at a field cook house , I've uttered the following words.
For what we are about to receive may the Lord make us truly thankful, for Christ sake .Amen
  8. Asked the powers that be last year, for a 22 year dinner and was told by by the "man in charge", that we did not have one.
  9. How about rubber dub dub, thanks for the grub :D
