Archaeologists digging near St Ives in the Wallonia region of Belgium have found the well preserved remains of an Australian soldier. The article states that he appears to have been a battlefield casualty who was buried were he fell, still in his full kit.

The area around St Ives was attacked by the AIF's 3rd Division on 7th June 1917 during the battle of Messines.
