Relationship between SNCO and Officer.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anyone know the current rules, disciplinary/admin action likely if a SNCO and officer (not the same unit) announce their relationship? If there isn't a working relationship, how can good order etc be compromised?

  2. Well relationships are only usually a problem if they breach the service test:

Has a servicemans actions affected or are they likely to affect the operational effectiveness of the Army?

In this case it's a no!

  3. There is nothing wrong with your relationship. We have a Cpl and a Capt here who are married to each other. Only problem is Mess functions.

  4. Isn't it refreshing these days that officers and ORs can bang away like demon bunnies on speed......? Sod good order and discipline!*s*

In all seriousness, as long as the relationship passes the Service Test, then you (oooops....sorry....your 'mate') should have no problems. Not in the same unit, same CoC, reporting chain, don't storm each other's Messes without permission from the PMC/CMC, be up front and tell respective bosses blah blah blah

    Next patient please nurse!
