Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I completed 4 years as an officer and left 7 months ago. When i left i was on the 75 pension scheme. i am thinking of rejoining, am i able to stay on the 75 scheme or is the only option to accept the new 05 scheme.

    Thanks in advance,
  2. Your best bet is to speak to SPVA, you should be able the phone number on the internet, I have been told you could get grandfather rights, but not sure if this is correct or not.
  3. Let me MOD that for you.....

If I leave Regular service then rejoin would I have to go into AFPS 05? (update 18/07/07) No, if you rejoin within 30 days of leaving Regular service you can remain in AFPS 75 as service would be classed as continuous service or you can opt to join AFPS 05.
However, if the beak in service is longer than 30 days you will automatically go into
    AFPS 05.
