Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi all I am a 50 year old nurse with considerable ED and private sector management experience. However I'm really struggling to get my fitness up to par in time for this years deadline. Are they rigid re. beep test? Also does anyone know what the Specialist Officer interview consists of? Finally are there any RNs out there that I can talk to? Hope you can help. Cheers Tim
  2. FFS 50? Im thinking about retirement now at 47. Joining up your having a larrf aintcha?

  3. Yes mate they are strict....they've been cutting here too. Are you able to do the press ups and sit ups too?
  4. Bottomline: Its soldiering, even as a nurse. If you are asking about "personal" fitness as someone who wants to be an officer, a leader of men, potentially making life and death decisions whilst things are going bang and boom around you........go work in a hospital as a civvy nurse in NZ.
