Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. As the new subbie in the mess i've been tasked with saying grace.
    Has anyone got any suggestions?
  2. Rub a dub dub, Lord
    Thanks for the grub
    Yeah, God!
  3. Old, but a classic:

Bless us now O Lord divine,
who first turned water into wine.
Have mercy on these foolish men,
about to turn it back again.
  4. Bart Simpson:

Dear Lord Why Should we thank you,
We paid for all the food!!!
  5. 2, 4, 6, 8,
    Bog in,
    Don't wait!
  6. Or for the really pretentious Subbie: "Benedictus, benedictum" (Goes down well if you've got a RC CO!
  7. Say - Grace! :)
Feck it up like the rest of us - take the port fine and be remembered for ever more until the next one!

  10. This was given to me by the former Londist Padre on the occasion of my entry to the Sgt's Mess in the early 90s.

Lord who blessed the loaves and fishes, bless the food upon our dishes.

Bless the cooks and those who serve us.

And from indigestion, Lord preserve us.

  12. Keep it simple - I use:

    No Padre.

    Thank God!
  13. From Al Amarah way up north
    To Muthana in the West
From Shaibah log base where there's beer
    We rally by request
O Oft across this land o Lord
    We are so thinly spread
Now gather here in Div HQ
