  1. Hi lads.

I know this is a long shot but just thought I'd try anyway.

I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of my recruit platoon photo.

I joined back in 1993 and did my Phase 1 training in ATR (Guards Depot really) Pirbright. I lost the photo and its been bugging me ever since to try get a copy of it.

ANY help at all would be appreciated, even if the answer is "no chance".

  2. Try and find someone who is serving at Pirbright.

Hopefully they will still have a copy on a wall that they can scan.

If not, are they still using the same company to take the photos?

Usually you will find they are, do you remember the companys name?

Try google, you may be lucky.
  3. I take it you were Irish Guards then?
What platoon and roughly when were you there?
  4. Mareth platoon and may, june, july of 1993.
  5. Check your PM'S!
  6. Does ATR Pirbright have a musem? Those sorts of places normally have a copy of squad photographs, or maybe "mareth" Pl have a copy in the offices? Failing that try and find another photograph around that era, the photographers details are normally on the frame/photo give them a tinkle to see if they still hold any copies/negatives.

  7. I did. there's nothing there.
  8. Try now mate!
