recovery

I completed a 48 mile run, mucles obviously under serious stress . My big toe started cramping in the last mile and the big toe kept involuntarily lifting. its damaged my ankles. Im recovering slowly any advice, no medical chit needed so am avoiding the radar but would like to get the recovery time down in order to do something stupid like that again
