Reason to the Rhyme...or in this case name

#1
Following the 'A parent's love' thread about people with laughter invoking names, it got me thinking about the reasons behind the names parents give their children. So was there reason behind the name you were given or have you got a 'special' reason for giving your kids their names?

To get it started I found out recently that my Father named me after his best mate that died in a motorcycle accident when he was about 18.

My parents gave me my middle name because it's my father's and grandfather's. I think they gave me my first name because they couldn't be bothered to go past the letter A in the Alphabet.

Charlotte is french for 'little woman' but I grew to 5ft 8. I don't know the reason behind this god damn awful name, only that they thought it was 'a nice name'

Which is more of a p1ss take as your middle name is Bert and you are a male chippie in the Pioneers (oops, age showing?)!
