  1. Hi all,

i've got my interviews on the 2nd of Febuary but im still not 100% on what i want to do in the army!

I can apply for any job because of my gcse's and baarb test results which has made it so much harder !

Before i left A Levels i had my heart set on joining the infantry as an officer but after family issues i couldn't finish the course. As pathetic as it sounds, something at the back of my head is telling me that if i join the infantry from regular ranks ill have more of a chance of getting hurt.

Other jobs i've been looking at included a RA Specialist Observer and REME Armourer, but im not sure about the waiting list for REME, im guessing its a bit long?

I was also looking for a job that will give me skills that i can take with me after 22 years, but don't want to be stuck behind a desk!

    Many thanks for any suggestions/replies

  2. By 'getting hurt' do you mean injured in the line of duty or 'hurt feelings' :D :D :D

..seriously though, there are risks involved in all trades of the army (soldier/officer alike) and it would be unwise to base your career choice on the likelihood of picking up an injury on operations....youve already said infantry, why not re-apply as a soldier? If its pure soldiering you want then its the only way in my opinion!

  3. hah i mean in the line of duty, thanks for the reply ill take it into consideration
