  1. Hi was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the current problems with promotions within the Engineers, ive been serving for nearly 8 years now and completed my PNCO Cadre back in Nov 08. Was due to get promoted within 6-12months of completing my cadre but no joy. Now im being told that promotions are being based on PID placements according to trade within the corps, if this is true then chances for machinists are very slim by the looks of things. Ive had more than 3 recommendations for promotion so far and im a little puzzled to say the least.

Is there anyone out there who could give me some useful information or anyone with a similar problem????
  2. Try posting this in the sappers section, you'll get a better response.

    Good Luck.

  3. No change there then :( The Corp have a nasty habit of moving the Goal Posts, so much so you would think they were on wheels...

Best advice I could give (from experience) would be to do any and every course you can that could remotely become a promotion requirement even if it's not currently required for promotion within your Trade / Career Stream.

Oh and as a young 'n' thrusting Strawb Miff it might not be a career move to tell the Badge to go and do one when he 'requires' a brew on a particularly cold, wet and very early Active Edge call out ....
