Re-Issue of George Boots!

I have recently transferred regiments and been given 2nd hand George Boots to wear!
It doesn't seem right on Health & Safety grounds, but are there any regulations that suggest George Boots cannot be re-issued?

Footwear can be reissued just like any other item of clothing it gets treated with formaldehyde if I remember right

What health and safety issues are you expecting? Catch a grip and be a steely eyed dealer of death you were trained to be

Best put some thing here so we know the iPad corrected my spelling

Ask the Household Division ^~

If thats your biggest "health and safety issue" you need to get out more

Course it does. It doesn't get put back on the shelf and then just re-issued.

If they're servicable OP they can be re-issued. Get a can of that spray they use in bowling allys and give them the once over.

What, you mean you don't get new shoes each time you go bowling, what an utter disgrace, I feel a letter to the HSE is in order ^~

From JSP 886:

4. Footwear. Footwear is to be conditioned as follows:

a. Boots. All types of boots are to be conditioned as serviceable if they have had only light wear and no moulding to the feet has occurred.

b. Shoes. All part worn shoes, including shoes fitness training, are to be conditioned as unserviceable unless they are unit footwear (ie part of the unit scaled entitlement). [\quote]

If it meets that requirement, suck it up. If not, complain.

Issued George boots, I had to buy mine.

It is illegal on health grounds if the originals were issued to a pervert who liked to stick his big toe up an old slappers snatch and she had athletes cnut.

It is contagious!

Of course, the Health, Safety and Specialist Footwear Regulations 1987 clearly state that on no account can George Boots be re-issued to another person, despite the fact that there is no known medical or safety reason as to why they cant.

Have you thought perhaps that you, OP are THE prime reason why Health and Safety gets such bad press. Knob
