Re-enlisting

#1
I am seriously thinking of re-enlisting. I have been out for about 5 years, and served just under 6.

My question is will I retain my old army number? (I am lucky and have a 249 number - was TA then Reg and retained my TA number on initial enlistment.)

Is this a WAH or a lack of priorities?

Anyway if you get back in probably get to keep old number. Depends on JPA - computer says no.

I don't know why but it seems important to me. Maybe as all my peers will be 5 years further up the ladder.

Thanks for the answer though, I guess I will just have to give the computer a kiss.

I think you will find that due to the amount of time you have been out, and the introduction of JPA you will be issued with a new number starting with 3
