Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hello i have a question that needs an answer if poss
i left the RLC 1 year and 10 months ago after 9 years, with an exemplary discharge i was wandering if it is possable to re enlist
my main worry is that im 36 years but still very fit someone please give us a clue
  2. Go to your Army careers office. It largely depends on what rank you left at and how strapped your unit is for blokes in your trade.
  3. I believe that there is a system in place for discharged soldiers to return with no loss of rank or seniority within 6 Months.
Best bet is to try the ACIO or move this thread to RHQ.

Run a search in forums I'm sure someone else was trying to find out about this a few months ago

    Best of luck.
  4. Failing that the TA would probably take you, and once you’re in you could ask for an S-type.
  5. If you want to re-enlist because you miss the crack, you could try CVHQ RLC. TA and much reduced commitment, but more lenient on age. That said, mobilisation is probably more likely than with the Independant TA.
  6. thanks moved the question to RHQ now
