RCT Mess Kit

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I need to buy an RCT Mess Kit, has any one got any idea where or how I can get one please?

I saw something from General Melchett but cannot find it now!
  2. Bloody hell fella, you're 15 years too late for RCT mess dress, unless you meant to ask for RLC mess dress??

    Blimey. Try eBay.
  4. I have one in my attic. How much are you offering, to charity of course?
  5. Can I put down my “marker” for the second one that surfaces, please ?!

When I can get round to it, I intend to introduce the fella below to the carriage/buggy that has been unused for the year since we bought it, and wish to dress appropriately whilst driving.

  6. The above is, of course, completely wrong.

For “carriage driving” it is a set of RCT (double WHITE stripes) No1 “Blues” that I am after. Any information greatly received.
  7. I still have one of 1991 vintage issue if you are interested.

Would suit if about 6'4", approx 12 stone mark and a waist size of 34"

Strangely enough there is no way this side ofhell that will ever fit me again.

Suitable recompanse accepted and all donated to H4H of course.

  8. My goodness "570". Even now, you must present a handsome figure!

I am afraid that I am six inches too short (and shrinking), two stone too heavy (but fighting it!), and with a waist at least six inches more (and, directly related to the weight problem).

If it is a Mess Kit that you refer to (and not No1 “Blues”), can I suggest you PM "jkfox", to ensure he receives the good news.
  9. Is this anything to do with the creeping back "in" of RCT stable belts?
  10. Errr . . . how many can you get hold of ?!
  11. Whats this then? might have to dig out the hold shoulder titles :)
  12. Still got 2. Neither nof which will fit around my thigh these days!
  13. Hello, I would like to apply for that Mess Kit of yours, if you need my email it is: paulinejohn027@yahoo.com for any further comment.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, and I am genuinely sorry you have 'grown', must be the easy life after the Corps?

John Fox (ex RASC/RCT) I escaped before the RLC !
  14. Spotted some of those on ebay, not what I wanted, I searched for mess kit !!
  15. They are out there somewhere, like old soldiers waiting to fade away !!!
