Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My wifes cousin (if your wondering, yes I would!) has asked me if there is anyway of tracing details of one of her late husbands great uncles who served in the Great War with the RAMC; apart from the obvious places like KEW are the records of the RAMC of that period in an accesible place?

As an after thought, he apparently also served as a Civil Surgeon in the South African Field Force 1900-1901.

  2. The place to start looking is Keogh Barracks AMS Museum - good luck

  3. Your a gentleman top_soldier, thank you!
