Anyone know what the rules are - and where the rules are - on Armed Forces taking part in events that involve raising sponsorship for charities.

I've been told that because of a recent change to 'rules' we can no longer take part in events which seems. A bit odd as its going to bugger up quite a few service charities.

I have no knowledge of this but I know my local paper has regular column inches about Forces, off and on base, raising money for charities both service and non service.

If you are off duty, and not in uniform, there are no restrictions on raising money for charity. If in uniform it's a completely different matter. AG issued guidance in 2010 and there is a DIIN on it somewhere.
