Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Maltese Cross with black ribbon is, I think, the Order of St Jude - a chivraldic award from the society of that name - and yes, it is pukka and you can wear it. The arse end gong is, I think, a St John's LS&GC.
  2. and I think the first one (left as you look) is its "big brother" as a Member of the Venerable Order of Saint John, rather than Saint Jude....
  3. cheers - I'd never seen them before. Very odd looking!
  4. Just to confirm that the one on the left is the Order of St John and the one on the right is the St John 'Long Service'. I know Kev and he's a top bloke with oodles of experience.
