Sounding a bit defensive there Archimedes. Do you wear white socks by any chance??

edited to add - just spotted an Archimedes posting on the pprune site too. There can be only one.....

Only when playing tennis or cricket.

(Failed to spot this was in the NAAFI, hence the current affairs-ish tone to my earlier post. Doh!)

Edit - Yes, post on Pprune too, but one of the Arrse COs can confirm that I am most assuredly not of the sideways-scuttling persuasion!

Brilliant. Dont you just love it when the crabs shoot themselves in the foot so spectacularly?
If only whoever thought this shit was a good idea had aimed the mess Webley upwards instead. First I've seen of it and honestly thought it was the biggest Wah I'd seen yet... then I got sent a photo through of it from an incredulous family member asking if it was for real. Both my grandfathers are spinning in their graves- as a member of said lower end of the crab food chain, I honestly fcuking despair.

Its not a wah? Jesus, whoever designed it has a cruel sense of humour then. Its vile beyond comparison. Not even the blindest, demented and piss - soaked Granny would voluntarily stick that thing on their mantelpiece. I wouldn't even bludgeon Piers Morgan or Ken Livingston to death with that monstrosity.

They should consult more closely with successful breweries.

Recently picked up a freebie bottle-opener in a Shepherd Neame pub. Bright red, a bit plastic and chunky but nice grip (despite the strange pinholes in the main section) and the legendary 'Spitfire' (a bitter) emblazoned on it.

Flip a top and you're treated to the sound of an incoming Spitfire, Doppler effect and all.
Ace!

AGGGhhh, followed the Link and now must burn my retinas with the help of the Mid PM NZ Sun.
That is some of the chaddest merchandise I've ever seen.

It's not possible to die of shame and embarrassment but stuff like that is almost enough to make me wish it was.

What's next? Garden gnomes in blues with a likeness of Jock Stirrup?

Didn't all this come about because the RAF copyrighted the roundel and so instead of Mods, Fred Perry and the Jam etc using it for free the RAF now gets to prouduce it's own in house tat?
I know a mover mate who is in the Falklands for Christmas and will be getting a nice new Christams tree in their goody box!!

DPM_ Sheep Don't let the MODS see your avatar mate

What reallyt tops it off is that the company is charging almost £100 for it!

Talking of chavvy:

Gitcher RAF sovereigns here!

Great present for the mother-outlaw. :D

i wonder how little is being made by the MOD... Stunning example of all that is wrong with government departments being thought of as a business.

It would have a least a little saving grace if it was not poundshop tat at Oxford Street prices...

Someone on the PPRuNe thread suggested the RAF ring was a viagra-substitute sex aid, hence "Rise Above The Rest" being inscribed upon it.

The RAF clock (not the Dawn Patrol cuckoo-clock one, the other one with a glass dome) boasts "Impressive 9 inches" so maybe there is something in the connection...

Christ, I'd like to apologize on behalf of the RAF. Makes me shamed to be light blue! Bollocks like this tat...they should go back to producing the die cast models of aircraft, I'd be fine having one of them on my desk on boxing day!

Saying 12 years in Armley would be normal for adults in some parts of West Yorkshire
