Radio Control Modelling....planes cars and boats... time to finally admit you never grew up

It's the least I can do.

Of course I won't rag it round the fields. No siree. Nope, I've no idea how it got so dirty. :D

It's just a wee bit bigger than I was thinking....

However if you do like this sort of thing check out Mark 1 Tank, RC Model Tank Specialists

I went to one of their open days a few years back. The 1/4 scale stuff is impressive. The 1/6 scale is fine, but mostly GRP unlike the Armortek ones. But they are cheaper of course. Once painted they sure do look the part.

strange what you sometimes miss

I never before this noticed that the loaders hatch was round.... I spent 9 years on Chally 1, from the trialling at ATDU, then to the Red Legs when it was first issued to the regiments ,a 3 year break with the Artillery, finishing at QOH , plus having all our vehicle stripped for components for Granby , and Granby itself with ADS
I thought it still had the split hatch like the MK1 and the Chieftain
I think I would now have problems squeezing myself into it

Oh dear.
Oh dearie me.
It's just down the road..
I definately won't have a look at it.
Perhaps..
Looks like a 105 barrel, and it's on on upside down!
Oh dear.
3 Cwt, nearly. I wonder if I took a couple of spare batteries I could drive it home, I'v still got me "Track laying vehicle, steered by its tracks" bit on me license..
Oh dearie me...

Spotted this on Ebay 1/6 scale M5A1 tank. There were two versions, a RC and a static one. If this is the original RC version and had the normal upgrades its an absolute bargain I reckon. The static one had moulded tracks rather than links and I dont think it had suspension, so not great for RC. I've got one and with suitable enhancements they run really well.

Right! message to self..... stay out the damned loft

went up to check out the shower pump , brought this down

herc1.jpg

almost brand new, only bought it in 2003, thought I'd try that halfords acrylic primer on the port tailplane , turned out OK , but no stickers so no pattern for the windscreens and no markings , although it does still fly pretty well (despite the whole nose section glued with gorilla and reinforced with bamboo skewers on the inside )looks like a herc from a distance , if you squint... hinges are 17 year old blenderm tape rubbed with pva and are a bit brown now

so where can I get a set of stickers I know , Banggood do a similar kit , they may have some

and this afternoon the temptation became too great , this is now on its way to me

I know , there are a couple of things missing, two motors for example
In all honesty, it is the same GWS cargotrans twin as I used to sell, and there is now a company called Along RC selling through Aliexpress selling all the EPS moulded GWS planes , albeit without the shitty thin wheels
£54 including £15 shipping , should get it in a few weeks

good lady is not well pleased "Another aeroplane Beagle! ...Why on earth do you need yet another aeroplane?"

Cooo! Are they doing the ME262???

You've got to love GWS. Some nice planes that usually fly well for not a lot of money. Wish I had bought more of their cheap as chips gyros when I had the chance. Damn useful for taming uncontrollable ground looping on a model of mine. It could never make its mind which way it was going to go. The only thing you knew for certain was that it wouldn't be dead ahead.

didn't see any of the jets HT, they do the FW190 ME 109 Spitfire couple of others , with or without motors, brushed or brushless
I had a bit of a to do as I had forgotten my pass word and they couldn't send it, eventually went straight through paypal , when the cash was there they were excellent , probably get bounced for tax when it arrives , cross that bridge when we come to it
spent the day looking through old GWS C130 treads on RC groups to see where I can fit a box spine from front to rear to get a bit more strength

BTW when I wrote this quote[ good lady is not well pleased "Another aeroplane Beagle! ...Why on earth do you need yet another aeroplane?"] quote...she didn't actually say those exact words.
She's from Dundee ! so you can imagine what she actually said, something about my parentage , much much more

One for Mr Beagle. New multi engine from Micro Aces!

like I am liable to survive yet another model suddenly arriving through the post

The Percee is very pretty, priced from £88, then the two motors, rx, servos , but no price so far
