Has anybody tried the Norweigan version of the softy - green one side white the other. Think they are about £70 as opposed to £90 for a sasquatch.

I'd go for a Buffalo, there are a few different styles now. I was planning one of their belay jackets. My Buffalo mountain shirt has coped with everything.

You need to decide whether you want Down (extreme cold/dry) or Synthetic (milder/wet weather). Buffalo jackets are great in the wet but are relatively heavy and bulky compared to other types and they are not as warm in extreme cold.

I have to agree. Down jackets are great for sitting around/belaying. I just use my buffalo when active then slip on a Paramo torres waistcoat over the top when I stop. :D
