Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The R IRISH have been involved in two seperate contacts in Afganistan in the last few days.

Contact One: Mortar attack in which Ranger Draiva was killed and a JNCO seriously wounded. Messages of condolence for Ranger Draiva can be sent to BWO, HQ R IRISH, BFPO 808 for forwarding to his family in Fiji.

The wounded JNCO has been casev'd to Dubai where his mother and step father have been flown out to be with him. He remains VSI.

Contact Two: RPG attack in which a Lieutennant, a JNCO and four Rangers were wounded. The officer has head and neck injuries and was initially listed as VSI which has since been downgraded to SI. The remainder are walking wounded and remain in theatre. They have all been able to speak to their families by phone from theatre.

Lets us all offer a prayer for all our servicemen and women wherever they maybe.

  2. Speedy recoveries to all the injured.
