Quick question for the guys who draw blood...

...be it for routine grouping, emergency panels or what-have-you.

Could you do us a favour and stick the labels further up the tubes? When they get to the testing lab, they get loaded in sample holders thus:



On some of the machines we can pull the tubes up a bit so the barcode's clear to read, but on others you can't

We got a monster batch of 100+ MoD samples at work this morning, and on a fair few of them the labels were too far down for the barcode readers to pick them up. Which lead to some decidedly non-GMP jiggerypokery to make them work.

Now anticipating piss-taking and abuse, but I did say I'd ask.
