Generally it is because we are all not stupid
Take a look at the last general election results
The potential Communist /Socialist "Government in waiting" promised rainbows , and unicorn horns for all, the majority of people saw through it

Good for an SNP government to promise my income would remain the same , not so good when the value of our currency is matched to that of Venezuela or, Zimbabwe
and morons in England voted for Corbyn and his moon pie promises. People also voted to remain in the EU and large numbers regularly go to cult meetings at churches, synagogues, mosques etc.

I didn’t say that they’re right but I was answering the question about why so many of them do it.

Luckily for us all, the 'Government in Waiting' are going to be waiting a lot longer.

Well the morons in England didn't get a mandate to run the country did they.
Where do live? If it's where I think there are more morons as a percentage of the population there.

In Perthshire. We have elected a nationalist but he only narrowly defeated the Tory.

Nope, the audience represents the SNP

FiFi "More SNP than Lab, Lib, Con, Ind" - GE SNP 42% of vote, BBC SNP audience > 50%

BBC is sh1t scared of SNP since Indy Ref and pandering to them, hence the plethora of BBC Scotland channels on radio & TV

Latest being BBC One Scotland in addition to BBC One (with regional variations)
Hang on,DIY le Donnie is a outstanding BBC Scotland television production.

Rather frightening that 33% voted for Corbyn's "Make UK North Venezuela"

Corbyn "Everything is free until no money left; then eat your pet and grass"

Gave you a funny, then googled, funny removed as it's real :facepalm

Where's the Sarc button?

Tory MP Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee, told the PA news agency: “Britain needs to think hard about how we partner with countries that don’t share our respect for human rights or the rule of law.

“The price of the project may be lower but the cost to our sovereignty could be higher than we ever imagined.

“There’s no point in taking back control from Brussels only to hand it over to Beijing.”
It's a train set you fool, if China will provide MP's toys the rest don't want or need for less money that's great.

Mr Tugendhat, seems you appear on QT, but don't watch.

Watch this FiFi: How many support HS2? The number of hands that goes up says it all. Northerners don't want HS2

If Tugie not bad enough, try this

Bloomberg considering Hillary Clinton as potential running mate

Wishing you a nightmare free sleep

H&M a QT Question, little wonder as UK plod still protecting them

The Video the Queen told Harry and Meghan not to release
Harry kicks Queen and embarrasses her again by releasing, after firing all his BuckPal staff

Raise cringe wall before peeping over top to watch

"She'll bolt! She's bolted before." Can Harry and Meghan ever come back to England?

I liked this:
…Harry and Meghan have closed their Buckingham Palace office and sacked all 15 of their British team. Despite all their protestations about dividing their time between Britain and Canada, you could hardly find more a cold-bloodedly definitive statement that they are gone for good — and seem to care nothing about the damage they are leaving behind.

Harry and Meghan have departed in search of greater privacy, more fulfilling careers — and no doubt more opportunities to take private jets to lucrative events such as the one in Miami they attended last week to talk about ‘mental health issues’...
...And odd as it may seem, this is where Harry and Meghan may well perform their greatest service: as the ultimate cautionary tale, a lesson in self-pity and shameless freeloading.

One reason that George VI was so popular, after all, was that he was not Edward VIII. Whenever people needed to remind themselves what they liked about him, they merely glanced across the seas and
shudder at the spectacle of the former King in self-imposed exile: a maudlin, self-obsessed moaner with a spoiled, whingeing American wife….
I feel very sorry for the Queen and Prince Philip being repeatedly kicked in the teeth by petulant and selfish Harry

a Feasibility study to find out if a bridge , between two parts of the United Kingdom , carried out by the United Kingdom government, why would there have been any need to consult with Scotland or NI ?... pretty sure the then Labour government in Scotland didn't consult with the then UK government about the Queensferry crossing

BTW was the Scottish government not in favour of this a couple of years ago , until "they bastard Englis"h thought they'd see if it could be done
So,doing something ,...BAD as opposed to talking about something... GOOD ( as long as they English bastards aren't involved)

suppose if the SNP do decide to build a bridge, they'll put up my tax again to pay for it.... useless shower of shite that they are

( you may have noticed I have nothing but disdain for the incumbent Scottish Government, like many, many other Scots)
Why would the Scottish government which was SNP not labour anyway consult the English government about a bridge solely in Scotland. This proposed bridge by Boiris foes not even start or finish in England

Seriously?...the "Scottish government" ,can't even balance the books as it is. And wtf is that 20 billion pounds coming from certainly won't be from Scotland (sorry maybe easier for some people to comprehend if you said 20 thousand million pounds. 20 billion is just a throw away figure)

Anyway...not going to happen

Boris is the PM of the United Kingdom and is looking at a feasibility study for a bridge between 2 constituent countries of the UK.

Naturally the governments of Scotland and Northern Ireland have an interest.

I can’t see much use in the Causeway to Mull of Kintyre route unless they put in another bridge(s) or tunnel(s) connecting Kintyre to the central belt.

The £20 billion will NOT be coming from either the Scottish or NI budgets as neither have been consulted. Boris wants it Boris can pay for it.

You're assuming that the feasibility study and the business case both stack up. In any case this would be a british project funded by UK PLC, no yellow starred sphincter plaques in sight.

nonononono…. the SNP were talking about this, with people from NI, long before the PM spoke of a( £4milllion) feasibility study
