And is distorting implications of her "Common Rule Book" and diverts, avoids and lies.

Body language: becomes increasingly more uncomfortable, tense, closed, voice breaking - lies. Not a happy woman..

Boris: "We need more Trump! He´s right about lots of things. Look at trade tariffs - he says we should get rid of them and everyone goes bonkers. But he´s right - why do we need them? Zero tariffs is the way forward. Zero, zero, ZERO! Trump, Trump, TRUMP!´

QT Bingo: May closes parliament

May's latest skulduggery - Close parliament
May’s decision improves her prospects of making it through to the summer break without a leadership challenge. On Monday night, it emerged that No 10 had proposed bringing forward the summer recess to Thursday, to reduce the time available for Conservative MPs to hold a confidence vote if one were to be called, although Labour and some Tory MPs indicated they were considering voting against any attempt to impose an early holiday
May narrowly heads off defeat after caving in to Brexit hardliners

Brave Theresa ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it’s ugly head,
She bravely turned her tail and fled.
Yes, brave Theresa turned about
And gallantly she chickened out.
Swiftly taking to her feet,
She beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Theresa May

This just shows the contempt for democracy that these people have when their schemes are thwarted. We rail at the anti-democratic nature of the EU but this is just as bad.

The next General Election is going to be an interesting time, in the Chinese sense, since this destroys any lingering thought that the Tories had any honour, apart from JRM and a few others.

Just re-read the first ten pages of this thread and conclude that back then QT was much more interesting, and the thread has followed its decline, with less participants each week and the quality of our wibble falling off in line with that of the increasingly mediocre panellists.

Veni, vidi, cursus incitatus.

Big Question - BBC diversity away day chat.
QT - Badly phrased questions on obvious topics of the week.

QT needs a proper revamp, maybe the panellists should each have a question to ask there fellow panellists. With the audience, been able to give the publics view, removing any pat answers from either panel or audience stooges.

QT today Cancelled ?

Just realised that This Week is on. Missed the first 20 minutes. It's the Summer Special.
Andrew Neil is joined by Liz Kendal, Michael Portillo, Miranda Green and John Nicolson (SNP and former journalist)
MP suspects that the HoC will call for Art 50 to be suspended. AN suggested various of 27 members might demand a price.

Comedy theme is based on Austin Powers.
Fun fact: There is a telephone ring tone in the sketch that will be familiar to those of us who watched the Man from U.N.C.L.E. as the phone used by the boss, Alexander Waverly.

So much has changed since then, just think how often we have moaned because the audience was seeded with momentum shouty idiots.
After Corbyn became labour leader we have had the same labour lackies trotted out far too often.
Looking at the last year or so we still seem to want Abbott on the panel, but week after week we have had too much of Colonel Nugee and we just didnt take the mick out of her like in the past.

Looking back at things, we used to be treated to Charlie Kennedy and he had good, or amusing things to say. Compare Kennedy with a new lacky like the SNP minister for defence and it becomes all too apparent there are far too many dull politicians.

Luckily, taking the mick out of the audience or seeing Isabel Oakeshott keeps the show watchable.

Too many lefty "comedians", SJW campaigners, Quotas, actors etc displacing folk that know their stuff rather than rhetoric and can answer questions rather than read off a memorised script. Bile and hatred towards anyone right of Lenin as being extreme/far right or fascist, without any comprehension of the meaning of these terms. Randomly chosen audience members who seem to turn up at various episodes and turn out to be Socialist Worker / hard left union activists. Odd how some of the most knowledgeable and articulate guests seldom get invited any more. Maybe they get invited but are fed up with being shouted down by Corbynists or stopped by Dimbleby.

Looks like Dimbkeby is going as part of the major overhaul of BBC political programmes. Daily Politics and This Week are going/changing, Sunday Politics us moving and changing format. All apparently to allow the BBC to use digitisation more efficiently. Nothing whatsoever to do with continued dumbing down of political coverage. I wonder if they will start using something like the Trump blimp as their logo - a child-adult in nappies!

QT man Owen Jones will be throwing his toys out if he reads the responses to this tweet, have a read if you want a laugh
"He's a hate preacher who shouldn't be given a platform."

The irony....
